On Wednesday, Tiger Woods revealed he will have season-ending surgery to repair a torn ligament in his left knee that he injured 10 months ago. He also suffered a double stress fracture of his left tibia two weeks before the US Open ignoring doctors’ advice to take six weeks off to let it heal

Area Juniors play well in the Western Junior. University of Illinois Golfer Scott Langley places 5th at the prestigious Western Junior in Sea Island, Georgia and soon to be teammate Luke Guthrie of Quincy, Illinois places 7th.

The Final Four. It means so many things to so many people. In the basketball hot bed of Kansas, Kentucky, Indiana and North Carolina the final four means their basketball teams have realized the expectations of their very avid fan base. But for 8 golfers still competing on Saturday at WingHaven Country Club, the final four meant they were one match away from competing for the most presitgous title in the state of Missouri.
