An ailing knee couldn't stop Tiger Woods from winning the 2008 U.S. Open, and it hasn't slowed his golf course design career, either. Woods announced Tuesday that Tiger Woods Design is building an 18-hole private course on the tip of a jagged peninsula near the Mexican resort town of Ensenada, about 65 miles south of San Diego.

The average – over/under if you're a betting man – for this tournament is 3. That's the number of caddies who won't make it through the week. Not because they get fired, not because they quit, but because they end up in a medical tent or hospital getting fluids put into them.

Bruce Hollowell's West squad is looking for back to back Hieronymus Cup Match victories at Dalhousie Golf Club after regaining the cup at Porto Cima Golf Club last year. But if the cup is stay on the West side of the state it will take a big comeback as the West squad trails 9 to 5 heading into the 14 Sunday singles matches.
