Almost everyone wants to drive the ball with more distance and better direction. Well that sounds nice and easy. In order to do that one would need to strike the ball more squarely in the center of the club face while maximizing their club head speed, sounds simple right.

With of the never-ending quest for more yardage, we can find ourselves trying to over turn. While it is true that the bigger your turn can mean more power, over turning can do the opposite – it can drain your body of any power that it has generated during the back-swing.

Recently, I took a trip to visit the Titleist Performance Institute. Where I had my golf swing video taped and then had some physical testing done. I was amazed to find out that some of my own golf swing issues that I have been trying to fix are a result of physical and mobility issues. These issues included strength in certain areas of my body, physical mobility as it related to the golf swing and everyday movements, and flexibility.
