Jason Sobel of ESPN.com Joins Back Nine to Discuss Tiger

The golf world as we know it has changed.  The man who once stood alone at the top of the golf universe is now bunkered down in his Isleworth mansion dealing with the crisis that is his life.

Woods is a man who enjoys his solitude so much that he named his personal yacht "Privacy".  This past Wednesday Tiger released a statement acknowledging transgressions that were not true to his values and the behavior his family deserves.  To say Tiger's privacy and secrecy is now a thing of the past is a mild understatement.

Dan O'Neill joined the Back Nine radio show this morning to discuss the situation Tiger finds himself in and commented that while the media covering the game of golf is usually aware of rumors surrounding certain players and their actions, nothing was ever heard or talked about regarding Woods.  Reports of Tiger's transgressions, as he puts it, extend back 31 months leaving plenty of time and opportunity for someone around Woods to make a mistake.  Given the coverage this man gets on a week in and week out basis when on Tour, it's amazing he's kept this lifestyle under wraps so long.

"When you make that big of a mistake you just need to be contrite, be honest and tell the public you made a mistake and you were wrong."  Those were the words from Tiger Woods speaking about Michael Vick.  Ironic isn't it that Tiger could have benefited from his own advice?  Jason Sobel of ESPN.com joined the show as well this morning to offer additional insight into the events surrounding Tiger Woods and his family beginning with the incident on Friday, the day after Thanksgiving.  LISTEN HERE
