Berkmeyer Headed List of Honorees at 2008 MAGA Player of the Year Banquet

November 13, Old Warson CC - Skip Berkmeyer headed the list of honorees at the 2008 MAGA Player of the Year Banquet, Thursday evening, November 13, at Old Warson Country Club. Berkmeyer earned the Player of the Year award for the third straight year (and seven times overall) on the strength of his play locally, regionally and nationally. Other award-winners included: Scott Thomas (Senior Player of the Year), Chelsea Schriewer, right, (Women's Player of the Year) and Barbara Berkmeyer (Senior Women's Player of the Year). The MAGA also recognized Bellerive as winners of the 2008 Metropolitan Cup.
 For the first time, the Metropolitan Amateur Golf Association (MAGA) conducted an online ballot to determine winners of three new awards - Shot of the Year, Round of the Year and Comeback Player of the Year. Winners were introduced at the MAGA Player of the Year Banquet, November 13 at Old Warson Country Club with the winners to be announced that evening.
