St. Louisan Jay Delsing fired a three-under 69 in third round action Friday at the PGA Tour Q School Stage 2 qualifying at Callaway Gardens' Mountain View Course in Pine Mountain, Ga.  The round gave Delsing a three-round total of 8-under 208, good for a tie for 18th.

The top 20 finishers at each of four sites will advance to Stage 3 qualifying, Dec. 3-8 at PGA West, in hopes of earning a PGA Tour Card for 2009.

Two other area golfers - Adam Betz and Bob Gaus - are attempting to qualify at The Hombre Golf Club in Panama City, Fla. Betz fired a third-round 69 to inch closer to a qualifying spot. His 72-72-69-213 is four shots outside of the top 20 and ties. Gaus is well off the pace after rounds of 78-69-76-22.
