St. Louis teaching professional Bob Gaus will be making his second appearance in the U.S. Open later this month, thanks to a second-round 5-under 66 at Boone Valley Golf Club Monday.

By late Monday, one golfer will be making travel plans to San Diego to compete in the 108th United States Open. A field of 17 golfers will play 36 holes at beautiful Boone Valley Golf Club, with the top finisher advancing to the United States Golf Association’s national championship, June 12-15 at Torrey Pines Golf Club, located along the Pacific Coast just outside San Diego

Fox Run's Darren Lundgren posted a 1-under par 141 to edge two golfers by a shot to win the 22nd Normandie Amateur Sunday at Normandie Golf Club. 

Buddy Allen will face a strong field that includes 10 former championss when he tees it up to defend his Normandie Amateur title Saturday at Normandie Golf club.

Defending champion Skip Berkmeyer took the short and long way back to the semifinals of the Metropolitan Match Play championship, Sunday at Old Warson Country Club.
