Three Players to Advance to Shadow Hawk Golf Club for US Mid Amateur

Three amateurs over the age of 25 will advance to the US Mid-Amateur Championship at Shadow Hawk Golf Club in Richmond, TX today at Norwood Hills Country Club. Fifty-three players are attempting to grab one of the three qualifying spots.
Play began at 7:00am and the final group will be on the course at 9:50am. Several notable amateurs are in the field including former Norwood Hills Country Club Member and past Club Champion, Skip Berkmeyer. David Johnson, another player very familiar with the Norwood Hills CC West Course, tees off at 9:50am with Donny Ngala of Dittmer, MO and Mark Norman of Chesterfield, MO.
Ted Moloney, a finalist at this years St. Louis District Golf Association Men's Championship and past US Mid Amateur qualifer tees off at 9:20am. Other players to watch closely include -
-Phil Caravia (East Side Amateur Champion and qualifier of this year's USAPL at Bandon Dunes
-Scott Hovis, Missouri Golf Association Executive Director
-Bob Meeh, One of the area's elite Senior Amateur players
-Brian Kennedy, past US Mid Amateur Qualifer and former member at Norwood Hills CC
-Jay Potter, one of the top amateur players from Tennesssee
-Zachary Dobrota, former golf professional from Ohio
-Ryan Zamorano, Dallas TX, is a former UT Arlington collegiate golfer where he was the 2006 SLC Newcomer of the Year and honorable mention all conference and past qualifier for the US Mid Amateur Championship where he made match play in 2010.
