Whether it’s coaching the world’s best players,
developing innovative curriculum for PGA Professionals or helping recreational
golfers break through and hit the ball better than before, Joe Hallett has a singular
mission: Simplify the game for maximum success.
A GOLF Magazine
Top-100 Teacher, Hallett has served the PGA of America in several roles, most
notably General Manager of the PGA Center for Golf Learning and Performance,
the organization’s clearinghouse for research, development, teaching aids and
philosophies in instructing and learning the game of golf.
Currently, Hallett is Lead Instructor for the PGA
Professional Golf Management Program and PGA Master Professional Checkpoint
Faculty. An expert in golf instruction,
technology and development, he helps design curriculum for the PGA Certified
Professional Program used by PGA of America’s 27,000 members.
The 20-year PGA Certified Professional also serves as Director
of Instruction at Vanderbilt Legends Club Golf Academy and coaches LPGA Tour
major winner Stacy Lewis. Under Hallett’s tutelage, she added 25 yards off the
tee and a half-club with her irons, helping her to her first major
championship, the 2011 Kraft Nabisco.
Prior to coaching Lewis, Hallett also played a key role
in the 2008 U.S. Women’s Open victory of Inbee Park. Only age 19, Park became
the youngest winner in the history of that championship.
Ranked among the “Top 50 Golf
Instructors in America” by Golf Range
Magazine, Hallett is a former host and producer of the popular “The Golf
Show” on Sportstalk Radio Network. During the 2009 PGA Championship at
Hazeltine, Hallett served as a guest commentator on PGA.com.
Hallett joined The Back Nine Radio Show to discuss his latest project, ProMentalCoach.com, an innovative software application. Pro Mental Coach is the program golfers of all skills have always been looking for in order to play better, enjoy the game better, and manage tough times better:
