July 11 - Country Club of St. Albans - You've heard the saying, horses for courses?  Well consider the Country Club of St. Albans one of Scott Langley's favorite tracks.  Langley captured his second consecutive Metropolitan Open Championship on Saturday by a 3 shot margin over St. Louis' John Kelly.

Langley entered the final round with the same 3 shot advantage after back to back 67's at the 7,200 yard, par 70 layout.  Bob Gaus, who just recently qualified for the PGA Championship at Hazeltine, was the closest competitor to Langley after rounds of 69-68 over the first 36 holes.

Canadian Touring professional, Shawn Jasper, posted the low round over the final 18 holes with a 3 under 67 to finish in a tie for 3rd with Franklin Country Club PGA Professional, Shane Blankenship.  Justin McCarraher poted a 2 under 68 to finish in 5th.  The aforementioned Gaus struggled to a final round 74 for a 6th place finish.  Britt Pavelonis, JC Anderson and Jeff Field finished in a tie for 7th at 2 over par for the 54 hole championship.

Justin Bardgett and Skip Berkmeyer were the next best amateurs in the field, finishing in a tie for 10th at 3 over par.  First round leader, Colin Neeman finished T12.  Unviersity of Missouri St. Louis golfer, Tim Cochran finished T16 after rounds of 71-72-72 along with Kansas State's Mitchell Gregson.
