It's official. Tiger Woods will be returning to the PGA Tour at the Accenture Match Play Championship next week. Tiger commented today during a conference call with the media that things are in order at home, with both Elin and Charlie doing well so it was time to get back on the golf course again.

On New Year's Eve it's appropriate that news out of Arizona is all about making golf's biggest party an even bigger celebration.

Specifically, FBR Open officials have confirmed that the infamous par-3 16th at the TPC Scottsdale is now, and will remain, completely enclosed by seating. This will give new meaning to phrase 'stadium golf' when the PGA Tour arrives there in less than a month.

Sergio Garcia has finally revealed the reason for Europe's thrashing at the Ryder Cup this year - a small dressing room with only two showers! He also claimed captain Nick Faldo's speech at the opening ceremony had been "too long" and said Europe had needed more than one vice-captain.
