ORLANDO, Fla. (Jan. 27, 2011) - Record-setting tournament ratings have highlighted the start of the new year for Golf Channel, marked by the highest PGA TOUR season opener ever on the network and double digit increases for entire events.

The Branson/Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce and CVB (Branson) today announced that Thousand Hills Golf Resort and Pointe Royale Resort & Golf Course have joined the area's new golf-destination cooperative, formed to provide discerning travelers with values and options.

The University of Missouri St. Louis Mens golf team tied Drury University for first place at the Great Lakes Regional 2, but won the playoff hole to take home the trophy in the 15-team event hosted by the Tritons at Glen Echo Country Club Monday and Tuesday.
