After a long day at Oak Meadow Country Club in Rolla, MO featuring multiple rain and lightning delays, the field competing in the 2012 Missouri Amateur Championship is set.
The final four earning a shot at the most prestigious championship hosted by the Missouri Golf Association had to endure a long day, but it was well worth the wait. Kenneth Eady, Neal Atkinson, William Wynn III and Brandon Straeb stamped their ticket to Dalhousie and now have a chance to carve their name in the history books as a Missouri Amateur Champion.
Pairings were released on Tuesday for the first two rounds of stroke play. After two rounds, the field will be trimmed to the low 64 to be seeded into a match play bracket.
Several groups feature multiple notable players beginning with the first pairing off the 10th tee on Tuesday. Jeff Johnson, Tim Holmes and local favorite, Ben Cantrell of Cape Girardeau. Other notable pairings include:
