St. Louis, MO - The field of sixteen has been wittled to four in the St. Louis District Men's Championship taking place at Norwood Hills Country Club. Saturday had its share of upsets and close matches as is expected in match play competition.

St. Louis, MO - The field of 16 players to participate in the match play portion of the 2008 St. Louis District Golf Association Men's Championship has been determined and it will be an interesting weekend at Norwood Hills Country Club.

Horton fires a 4-under 67 to lead at St. Louis District Men's Championship. Berkemyer trails by 1 and is joined by Matt Hines and semifinalist from the 2007 District Chamnpionship, Jonathan Prange.

One up and coming player, one young player who has already arrived and a virtual unknown qualified for the U.S. Amateur Public Links Championship as a result of their top three finish at Aberdeen Golf Club Wednesday.

Area Juniors play well in the Western Junior. University of Illinois Golfer Scott Langley places 5th at the prestigious Western Junior in Sea Island, Georgia and soon to be teammate Luke Guthrie of Quincy, Illinois places 7th.
