Junior Match Play Facts

12th Annual MGA Junior Match Play-Gates Paris Memorial Championship June 13-16, 2012 

WHO CAN PLAY - Entries are open to male and female golfers ages 14-18 years of age. Male and female golfers will be competing in their own divisions. Participants that have competed on the college level college are not eligible.

ENTRIES – Entrants shall apply on MGA forms. A $70 entry fee must be paid by every player . The 
entry deadline is June 8.

The entry fee includes a practice round on Tuesday, June 12th and the Championship rounds.

REFUNDS - Entry fees are not refundable.

A LATE FEE of $20 will be charged for any entry received after the deadline date.

SCHEDULE - The field will consist of 144 players.
(A) STROKE PLAY - 18 holes stroke play to determine 32 players for match play. A tie for 32nd place shall be decided immediately by a hole-by-hole play-off.
     Tuesday - June 12
     Practice Round
       Wednesday - June 13
     18 holes (Stroke Play)
     Cut to 32

(B) MATCH PLAY General numerical draw will be used.
     Thursday - June 14
     AM - First round Rd 32
     PM - Second round Rd 16
     Friday - June 15
     AM - Third Round-     Quarterfinal
     PM - Fourth Round-
     Semifinal
     Saturday - June 16
     Championship Match
     36 holes

PRIZES: Awards and prizes are in compliance with the MSHSAA guidelines.

Caddies are allowed in this event and can use a cart. Players are not allowed to use a cart. 

The MGA encourages all junior golfers to familiarize themselves with the Pace of Play guidelines.
