Mike Small, the golf coach at the University of Illinois, edged Mark Sheftic and Steve Schneiter by a shot to win the PGA Professional National Championship on Wednesday. Small, who also won the title in 2005, finished at 7-under 277 after a final-round 68 at Twin Warriors.

July 2, 2009 - St. Louis, MO - Four Missouri area amateur golfers are in the field at the 2009 Sahalee Players Championship in Seattle, WA. Berkmeyer, fresh off his victory at the Missouri Amateur Championship, and Adam Long off his T2 finish at the Northeast Amateur are in action. Scott Langley of the University of Illinois and Mitchell Gregson of Kansas State University finish off the four players.

June 28 - St. Joseph Country Club - Ten years ago, Skip Berkmeyer finished business he started in 1998 when he lost in the Missouri Amateur Final by winning his first Missouri Amateur Championship at Highland Springs Country Club.

June 27, 2009 - St. Joseph Country Club - If it feels like we've been here before, it's because we have been. For the first time in Missouri Amateur Championship history, the same two individuals will be competing in the Missouri Amateur Final in back to back years. Skip Berkmeyer vs. Justin Bardgett II is officially on the tee sheet.
