It's a moment in time to reflect on what was and what may be. For many, 2008 was a year of uncertainty and struggle – on and off the golf course. History was made with the first African American elected to the office of President of the United States. The U.S. economy is as bad as many of us have ever experienced in our lifetime. Michael Phelps dominated the cover of Sports Illustrated. Tiger Woods electrified the golfing world winning the U.S. Open on essentially one leg and then disappeared to rehab what was a more serious injury than many understood at the time. Annika Sorenstam said goodbye, at least for now. Greg Norman resurfaced on the golf scene and this time with a Tennis star by his side. We were introduced to Anthony, Boo, J.B. and Hunter. Michelle Wie has a home on the LPGA Tour.

Following three years of a sold out field and rave reviews about the event and its venue, the Missouri Golf Association is expanding the field and adding another championship golf course to the rotation for their annual Father Son Championship. The Jack Nicklaus Signature, The Club at Porto Cima, has hosted the Missouri Golf Association Father – Son Championship since 2006 and will continue as the event's host property.

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. – Winning back-to-back majors was the highlight of Padraig Harrington's career. He felt winning the PGA Tour Player of the Year award Tuesday was just as significant.

Phil Mickelson and Tiger Woods have a complicated relationship to begin with. Now it could be made even more awkward after what Woods' caddie had to say about Mickelson over the weekend, according to ESPN.com.

Dr. Bill Fricke, Bill Ludwig, Ronnie Boyce and Buddy Godwin were all inducted into the Missouri Golf Association Hall of Fame.

Don Bliss, one of the most decorative amateur golfers in the history of Missouri golf, has been named the MGA Senior Player of the year for the fourth time.
