On a day when 21 players broke par at Twin Oaks Country Club, it's to nobody's surprise the par 4, 18th hole stood its ground. The 18th played to an average of 4.565 and ranked as the most difficult hole of the course for players in the first round of the Missouri Amateur Championship.

Springfield, MO - Twin Oaks CC - Last year it was Jace Long of the University of MIssouri who stole the show during the stroke play portion of the Missouri Amateur Championship scorching St. Joseph Country Club. This year, it's a different Tiger on top with William Harrold tied for the lead with Connor McHenry after a first round 66 at Twin Oaks Country Club.

The Missouri Golf Association (MGA) announced a partnership for the MGA Senior Series and Srixon Golf. According to Scott Hovis, Executive Director of the MGA, Srixon's involvement with the MGA Senior Series is very exciting

June 11, 2009 - Jefferson City, MO - The Missouri Amateur Championship has a rich history, going back to its inaugural championship in 1905. As the top amateur golfers in the state of Missouri make their way to the site of the 2009 champinoship, they will be looking to join a select group of accomplished players to have captured the state's premier title at St. Joseph Country Club.

Following three years of a sold out field and rave reviews about the event and its venue, the Missouri Golf Association is expanding the field and adding another championship golf course to the rotation for their annual Father Son Championship. The Jack Nicklaus Signature, The Club at Porto Cima, has hosted the Missouri Golf Association Father – Son Championship since 2006 and will continue as the event's host property.

The Missouri Golf Association Board of Directors announced golf carts will be permitted to be used by players during the match play portion of the competition

Far Hills, N.J. - This past August, after nearly three years of research and testing, and a lengthy period of review and comment by manufacturers and other interested parties, the United States Golf Association announced revisions to the Rules of Golf, placing new restrictions on golf club grooves.
