Aaron Murphy, a senior at Lincoln University and a member of the Men's Golf Team shot a record setting round of 61 at Oak Hills Golf Center, Jefferson City, Missouri on Thursday, March 26, 2009, breaking the old course record of 62 held by Connor McHenry.  McHenry, a former Missouri Amateur Champion, Missouri Stroke Play Champion, Missouir Junior Amateur Champion and Missouri Junior Match Play Champion, is a current member of the Wichita State University Men's Golf Team.  Murphy's round on the par 70 layout was witnessed by teammates, Justin Watkins and Jake Peters, and consisted of seven birdies and an eagle en route to the record setting score.

The native of New Bloomfield, Missouri and a New Bloomfield High School graduate, Aaron is wrapping up his collegiate golf careet at Lincoln University this year.  The MGA wishes Aaron and the Lincoln Universtiy Golf Team success and look forward to seeing Aaron at the MGA Champhionship events this summer.
