Top-ranked Georgia enters red-hot after a 13-shot victory at the SEC Championship. Can the Bulldogs win by more than 13 here?

• Central Florida went 18-under par as a team to win the Conference USA title at Red Tail, with Simon Ward and Blayne Barber finishing 1-2. Local knowledge will be a huge advantage for the Knights.

• UAB senior Zack Sucher, who is playing as an individual, finished third to Ward and Barber at the C-USA Championship. Sucher made the NCAA Championship last year but missed the 54-hole cut. Can he make it to Inverness this year?

• Oregon and Colorado are seeded outside the all-important top five (Nos. 6 and 8, respectively), but are coming off runner-up finishes in two of the country’s top conferences (Pac-10 and Big 12).

• Fourth-seeded San Diego State is trying to make back-to-back NCAA Championships for the first time since their streak of 11 consecutive appearances ended in 1984. Fifth-seeded UC Davis, the Big West Conference champs, is making its first postseason Division I postseason appearance.

• Alabama enters as the No. 2 seed despite finishing sixth at the SEC Championship. Freshman Bud Cauley, who finished T-5 at SECs, will need help from Hunter Hamrick (T-17) and Matthew Swan (T-17) if the Tide hopes to topple Clemson.
