Edwardsville, IL (May 17, 2009)…Bronson La`Cassie (Queensland, Australia) managed to birdie the fifth playoff hole outlasting Kelly Grunewald (Grand Prairie, TX) to win the Sunset Hills NGA Classic in dramatic fashion. La`Cassie carded rounds 67-71-72-69 en route to posting nine-under par 279 in regulation and the eventual playoff win, his second on the NGA Hooters Tour.

“It's great to get the win. I hit the ball well all week and kept it in front of me for the most part and made a few putts. When you do a lot of good things during the week it's nice to be rewarded.” La`Cassie said of winning The Sunset Hills NGA Classic.

Luke List (Nashville, TN) posted five under par 283 for the tournament to grab solo third while Jeff Corr (Longwood, FL), Joe Affrunti (Crystal Lake, IL) and Blaine Peffley (Lebanon, PA), who carded Sundays low round of 67, each posted four under par 284 totals and will share the fourth position.

“Out here (Sunset Hills Country Club) with the speed of the greens and the height of the rough you've got to keep the ball below the hole on the greens and try and avoid the rough at all cost or you can make a big number. Fortunately I was able to do that quite a bit” commented the Aussie on the challenge of Sunset Hills Country Club.

Mike Suhre (Glen Carbon, IL) finished as the low member of the local contingency at The Sunset Hills NGA Classic after posting rounds of 73-73-73-73 finishing at four over par 292 for the tournament while John Kelly (St. Louis, MO) finished at ten over par 298 after carding rounds of 75-72-77-74.

When asked about the playoff with Grunewald the Aussie added ‘ It was long, but a lot of fun, Kelly (Grunewald) played great, it was a great atmosphere to be a part of, the fans were very supportive of us.”

La`Cassie takes home the $33,566 winners check at The Sunset Hills NGA Classic Presented by The City of Edwardsville, IL & The Village of Glen Carbon, IL while Grunewald will receive $16,735 for his second place finish.

Next week the NGA Hooters Tour travels to Boonville, IN for NGA Hooters Tour Classic @ Quail Crossing presented by Comfort Inn East contested over the 6758 yard par 71 Quail Crossing Golf Club.
