February 28, 2009 - Tiger Woods has returned and there isn't anyone happier to have the world's #1 ranked player back in the news than the crew of The Back Nine Radio Show. Adam Frillman and Troy Halterman joined Dustin Ashby for their two hours of golf talk on Saturday morning and welcomed a great line up of guests to discuss the Accenture Match Play Championship, Danny Lee and life on the PGA Tour as a caddie with Champions Tour caddie Troy Martin.
The guys got the show started discussing what had transpired over the first three days of the Accenture Match Play Championship. While it was an early exit for Tiger, it was great to have the world's number one player back in the field. Podcast of the Opening Segment
Stuart Hall of the Golf Press Association joined the discussion and shared his expectations for Tiger over the next few weeks, leading up to the season's first major championship. Stuart felt Tiger proved why he is the best player in the world, able to come back from an extended layout after reconstructive knee surgery to compete at such a high level as he did in Tucson this week.  Troy Martin, winner of 13 professional tournaments worldwide and currently the caddie for Champions Tour Member, D.A. Weibring joined The Back Nine to discuss life on tour. Dustin shared his disgust for Ian Poulter's actions on Friday and asked Troy how he would have handled the situation if his player acted like Poulter did. (You'll have to listen to the interview to understand the issue) Troy Martin shared a funny story involving Jim Holtgrieve and his caddie at the time along with giving listeners a general impression of what life as a Tour caddie is really like. The Bogeyman, Dan O'Neill made his weekly appearance on the show and was put "On The Clock". The "On The Clock" segment sponsored by the Missouri Golf Association, put the Bogeyman on the spot on a few current topics. The Bogeyman gave us his take on Tiger's return, Danny Lee winning on the European Tour last week, Rory McIlroy making a big splash at the Accenture Match Play Championship after giving his predictions on the four Saturday quarterfinal matches.
