WHAT DOES THE KGCA DO?
The KCGA is a volunteer-based organization founded on the principle to provide membership services and programs to its member clubs and the amateur golfing community of the Kansas City regional area.

Membership is a value-oriented business tool. Our members consistently rate our club services as an outstanding value. Clubs benefit by taking advantage of our wide variety of core services, which include;

  • Club Consulting
  • Course Rating
  • Software Services
  • eServices
  • Club Business Program

In addition, members of all ages, gender and skill levels benefit by being able to participate in quality regional championships, the KC Junior Tour, and the StateLine Amateur Tour.

WHO BELONGS TO THE KCGA?
The KCGA consists of 75 member clubs in greater Kansas City and surrounding areas, and approximately 17,000 individual members who obtain membership through maintaining a USGA Handicap Index at one of these clubs.

HOW IS THE KCGA MANAGED?
The Association is governed by an Executive Committee of five officers and four committee chairs, all elected by KCGA member clubs. The member club's primary representation is through the KCGA Board of Directors. Each director serves a term of three years. As volunteers, these officials donate their time and pay their own expenses when they represent the KCGA. To conduct daily business, the Association maintains a small full-time professional staff at its offices in Overland Park.

CAN I JOIN THE KCGA AS AN INDIVIDUAL?
Individuals become a member of the KCGA automatically when they join a KCGA member club, (public course or private club), AND they establish a USGA Handicap Index at that club.
