George McDonnell of Leawood won the net scoring in the Senior Division at the season opening StateLine Amateur Tour event at Sycamore Ridge. McDonnell's 3-under par net 69 held off second place finishers Mitch Bowen of Overland Park and Brent Dewitz of Olathe. Bowen, a Sycamore Ridge patron, shot 1-under par 71 to tie for the victory with Tom Bachelor in gross scoring. 2010 marks the first year that the Senior Division includes net scoring.

The much-anticipated announcement of the details of the Women's StateLine Amateur Tour was announced today by the KCGA. The Tour while separate from the popular men's StateLine Amateur Tour is very similar in concept. Women amateurs will have the opportunity to play in eight single day competitions and be treated to the KCGA's "inside the ropes" experience.

The Kansas City Golf Association conducted two outdoor Rules Seminars at Overland Park Golf Club and Drumm Farm Golf Club for area high school golf coaches on Friday, March 26. Fifeteen schools attended and were represented by 166 players and 24 coaches.
