GATEWAY PGA JUNIOR SCHOLARSHIP SEMINAR 2010

Visitation Academy - Date and Time to be determined

(GOLF ATTIRE IS REQUIRED)

The Gateway PGA Junior Golf program will host a panel discussion on collegiate golf programs in 2010 at Visitation Academy, Ballas and Highway 40/64. Visitation is on the southeast corner of the intersection. The Seminar will be held by the gymnasium, which is at the rear of the school grounds. The evening will provide valuable information for the boys and girls in the 9th – 12th grades who may be interested in playing collegiate golf. There is no charge for the seminar and parents are strongly encouraged to attend.

Coaches from the different divisions, students on scholarships, and parents will participate. Each will give a short presentation. A question and answer session from the audience will be included. Topics to be covered are: NCAA Clearinghouse, NCAA Rules and Regulations, writing resumes, preparing videos, Ping College Golf Guide usage, recruiting process, college visits, competitive schedules and parent support. Basically, the discussion will be about what you can do, cannot do and should do if you are interested in collegiate golf at any level.

It is a great way to learn more about the regulations associated with recruiting and contacting schools and coaches. NCAA Division I and II coaches will be restricted to formal presentations only. ONLY Division III, NAIA and Junior College coaches will be allowed to make informal contact with parents and high school students at the seminar.
