The Metropolitan Amateur Golf Association and Gateway PGA have joined efforts to resurrect a Ryder Cup style match between the top amateurs and top professionals of their respective associations.

Thank you to all the Parents of the Gateway Junior PGA. Being not far removed from junior golf, I can remember the committment that my parents made when I decided to play the game of golf. The committment did not stop with the shuttle service that they provided to and from events. My parents found out quickly that golf can be an addicting sport.

The world of golf is amidst tumultuous times. Tim Finchem, Commissioner of the PGA Tour, has a war chest to rely on during these difficult economic times. Carolyn Bivens, Finchem's counterpart on the LPGA Tour, isn't quite as lucky. But Bivens isn't embracing this downturn in the economy during her first year at the helm of the Ladies professional game.
