Allow Your Head to Move
One of the biggest misconceptions in the golf swing is that your head must stay perfectly still. If you don’t allow your head to move a little away from the golf ball during your backswing it can result in a reverse pivot. Because your head and shoulders are attached, keeping your head perfectly still is almost impossible and would restrict the ability to turn on the backswing and inhibit a powerful release through the golf shot. This can happen when the golfer is too focused on the golf ball and not the target.
