In today's game of power we need to get rid of the old school way of thinking about release. We have all heard about release the club with your hands. Make the right forearm over the left to have a proper release. This all is fine if you want to practice alot getting the timing down and working on finess shots.

One of the biggest misconceptions in the golf swing is that your head must stay perfectly still. If you don't allow your head to move a little away from the golf ball during your backswing it can result in a reverse pivot.

Off the tee many people are trying to shape their shots according to the lay of the hole or just trying to hit them straight. The straight shot is the hardest to hit. But what I find when working with students is that they miss there shots in one direction more that the other.

To improve your golf performance, learn to choose high-percentage shots. Poor performance in golf often is a matter of choosing too many low-percentage shots.

Sometimes the golf course architects feel especially wicked, a favorite bit of torture is to align tee boxes toward the rough or a hazard and other visual tricks to get you to hit your drives into trouble. Here is a few ways to help you hit it down the middle when the hole looks really narrow from the tee.
