May 15 - South Central Regional - Oklahoma State University is playing at home at Karsten Creek Golf Club and it's no surprise the #1 seeded Cowboys are at the top of the team leaderboard at the South Central Regional. So the remainder of the field is playing for a spot among the final four teams to qualify for the NCAA Championship.

May 15th - Northeast Regional - The Illinois Men's golf team struggled on day one at the Northeast Regional but bounced back nicely with a 288 team score to move into 5th place overall. The top 5 teams out of the Northeast Regional will qualify for the NCAA Championship.

Edwardsville, IL (May 15, 2009)...Kelly Grunewald (Grand Prairie, TX) posted back to back rounds of 68 en route to an eight-under par 136 midway total at The Sunset Hills NGA Classic over the 6851 yard par 72 Sunset Hills Country Club. The Texas native will take a two stroke advantage into Saturday's third round over Bronson La Cassie (Queensland, Australia) who finished at six under par 138.

Edwardsville, IL (May 14, 2009)... Four golfers will sleep on the overnight lead after firing opening round five-under par 67's at The Sunset Hills NGA Classic over the 6851 yard, par 72 Sunset Hills Country Club. The foursome of co-leaders includes Ryan Blaum (Coral Gables, FL), Bronson La Cassie (Queensland, Australia), Emmett Turner (Augusta, GA) and Aaron Harrell (Bedford, IN) whose round was highlighted by his first career Hole-In-One.

St. Louisan Parker LaBarge used a 3-under par 32 on the back nine to post a 1-under 69 during U.S. Open Qualifying at Persimmon Woods Wednesday. He was one of six qualifiers out of a field of 101 golfers to advance to Sectional round action for the 109th U.S. Open.

The top of the scoreboard at the Bulldog Battle at WingHaven looked more like the Tritons Invitational than a high school tournament. WingHaven hosted a Division II college golf tournament hosted by the University of Missouri-St. Louis for several years and few teams were able to post as low a score as the team from Holt did on Monday.

It's not often we talk about Tiger Woods in a final pairing on Sunday to not turn the page and reflect on his victory and pursuit of another record. But such is the case this week as Tiger failed to deliver after being provided an open door on Sunday at the TPC of Sawgrass.

Bob Gaus and Steve Lotz, both of Tower Tee GC in St. Louis bested a field of Gateway PGA Professionals to take the wins in the Mari de Villa Central IL Classic at Panther Creek CC in Springfield, IL.
