Yani Tseng is finishing off a season for the ages, exceeding accomplishments of other golf phenoms we've come to enjoy such as one Eldrick Tiger Woods. Yet Yani doesn't seem to get the respect given what she has accomplished on the golf course this year on the LPGA Tour.

A fixture at regional golf events and USGA national championships for nearly 30 years, Grossman, 79, will receive the award at the USGA's annual meeting on Feb. 4 in Houston. Hearing the news had a profound effect on him, at least initially.

Some players just like being inside the ropes. In late November, a PGA Tour Player currently ranked in the top 100 of the World Golf Ranking will exit the ropes of professional golf to get inside the ropes of a boxing ring. The opponent of the yet to be named PGA Tour Player is none other than his Caddy.

Central Oklahoma and St. Edward's University took low team honors at the NCAA D2 Regional Preview at Jefferson City Country Club hosted by the University of Missouri-St. Louis. The host Tritons of UMSL finished in 7th place, 16 shots behind the leaders

After a few modest weeks, The Back Nine bounces back strong with a 7-3-2 record with one game still on the schedule for Week 6. This takes our season record against the spread to 48-36-5.

Parkway South graduate and Illinois alum finished 5th in a recent Q-School Prep Tournament hosted by the Hooters Tour at the Wanamaker Course, site of a Q-School First Stage. Langley posted rounds of 68-70-67 to finish two shots behind Erik Barnes and Hugo Leon. Leon won the championship in a playoff. Langley earned $2,500 for his 5th place finish.
