It's Masters week in the world of golf and for those of us in the Midwest, that means golf season has truly arrived.  Country Clubs across the state will be conducting their opening day festivities over the next few weeks.  High School golf seasons are in motion and the Missouri Golf Association schedule of tournaments is right around the corner.

So what are you waiting for?  It's time to get on the golf course, or hit the driving range to get ready for the 2011 golf season.  While Augusta, GA is the focus this week, it will be Augusta, MO which will be the focus later this summer as the Missouri Golf Association hosts the Missouri Amateur Championship at Boone Valley Golf Club.  Bent grass fairways, huge greens and an atmosphere unlike any other in the State will be awaiting Missouri's top amateur golfers.  Just like we're seeing on the PGA Tour this year, there will be plenty of young, new blood sure to make their way to the big stage at this year's Missouri Amateur Championship.  Check out the qualifying dates and get ready to play your way into this year's championship.

You are going to see some of the games fastest putting surfaces this week while watching the games greats compete for the season's first major championship.  In May, the top Senior players in Missouri will be experiencing something similar at Jefferson City Country Club in the Missouri Golf Association Senior Four Ball Championship.  The dates are May 24-25, so get your partner ready and get signed up today
