The 103rd Missouri Amateur Championship will take place at Twin Oaks Country Club in Springfield MO June 22-27th, 2010. Last year the tournament that was held at St Joseph Country Club, concluded with a final championship match that made Missouri Amateur history. Skip Berkmeyer, St. Louis, took the title of Missouri Amateur Champion exactly 10 years after his first victory in the tournament. Runner up Justin Bardgett, St. Louis, fought hard to the end and took Berkmeyer to the 37th hole. This was not the first time this pair had met in this tournament, 2008 was witness to the same final pairing but a different champion was crowned. Bardgett defeated Berkmeyer in 2008 at Winghaven Country Club in O’Fallon MO.
This 2010 championship will take place on a course that can only offer challenges to the 162 players that will tee off for their first round Tuesday June 22nd.
