Getting to Know: Your President,
Dr. Robert "Bob" Wilhite

Dr. Wilhite practices dentistry and lives in Macon Missouri with his wife, Barbara. They have two children Valle and son, Joel. Valle and her husband, Jon Rischer live in Columbia with two children. Christain and Audrey. Joel resides in Lee's Summitt with his wife, Sara and daughter Pery. Dr. Wilhite was raised in Huntsville, Mo, attended high school there and college at Central College in Fayette, Mo. His metropolitan background led him to St. Louis and Washington University where he received his degree in Dentistry.

Dr Wilhite says he was a country boy in the city, but adjusting was not a problem. His sport was basketball, but discovered golf at Forest Park golf course. It soon became his sport of passion and pursuit, and still is.

The MGA always appealed to him and was fortunate to become a member in 2000. It expanded his interest and involvement in the great game of golf. "His talent level has lagged way behind his interest level but my involvement in the rules and decisions of  the game has taken me to another level and I really enjoy it.

mentioned earlier the game of basketball. The senior series of the MGA has two of my past team members as regulars. In high school, Joe Terrill, we called him Joe Billy, and I played on the same team. At Central College, now Central Methodist University, Bob Iglehart and I joined forces. He was the shooter and I seldom saw the ball, only kidding Bob. These two outstanding athletes and highly competative individuals now find fulfillment, competition, and recreation with  the great game of golf and the MGA. You can too if you would.

Fact:  Huntsville High School now Westran High School
Central College now Central Methodist University
Washington University Dental School now closed

I attended all three and graduated. I must create a crisis with institutions of higher learning. Or....you figure it out"

Don't play too much golf--18 holes a day is usually adequate.
