2011 Senior Amateur Championship September 20-21 Rivercut Golf Course Springfield
The 2011 Senior Amateur Championship will be conducted at Rivercut Golf Course, Springfield, Missouri the site of the 2005 Mid-Amateur Championship. This venue with the James River as a backdrop will serve as the next challenge in the tradition of the Senior Amateur Championship. This public golf will serve as proof that a public golf course can be and is a championship caliber venue.
This venue with its numerous water hazards and native grass areas will put a premium on fairways hit and greens in regulation. This however, should not deter the quality of play; after all, these players will be the best of the best seniors in the state. This championship and the eventual champion deserve to be challenged and Rivercut will offer such a challenge.
WHO CAN PLAY - Entries are open to male amateur golfers who play at clubs or courses who are members of the Missouri Golf Association with a certified handicap index of not more than ten (10.0) on the USGA Men's Handicap System. Entrants must have reached their 50th birthday by the first day of the tournament to compete.
