Missouri Golf Association and Missouri Women’s Golf Association –

Joint Venture to grow the game of Golf in Missouri

JEFFERSON CITY, Missouri, December 9, 2011 - The Missouri Golf Association (“MGA”) Board of Directors and the Missouri Women’s Golf Association (“MWGA”) Board of Directors are proud to officially announce that a Management Agreement between the two Associations has been signed.

Beginning January 1, 2012 under the terms of the agreement, the MGA will provide management services in connection with assisting in managing the day-to-day operations of the MWGA and other services requested by the MWGA. Along with this agreement the MWGA has been granted a 4 month Boatwright intern from the USGA to help assist the MWGA with all aspects of the Association.  With the combined talents and capabilities of the two Associations the new agreement will also provide the focus required to effectively meet the mission of both organizations. The headquarters of the MWGA will be housed in the MGA office in Jefferson City. “ I am very excited for golfers of the state of Missouri, this new venture will be able to provide more resources and programs for the women golfers in the state and also help make the MWGA an even a stronger association for years to come” Scott Hovis Executive Director of the Missouri Golf Association.

The MWGA will be housed now out of the Missouri Golf Association office 3401 W. Truman Blvd. in Jefferson City, Mo.
