Illinois Bounces Back with 288, 5th with 36 Holes to Play

May 15th - Northeast Regional - The Illinois Men's golf team struggled on day one at the Northeast Regional but bounced back nicely with a 288 team score to move into 5th place overall. The top 5 teams out of the Northeast Regional will qualify for the NCAA Championship.
The 15th ranked Fighting Illini find themselves 12 shots behind team leading, Tennessee, but more importantly 4 shots ahead of 6th place Colorado State University. Scott Langley leads the Illini at 145, one shot ahead of Zach Barlow who posted the team's low round of the day with a 3 under par 68.
