March 7, 2009 - It's week one of the Florida swing on the PGA Tour. The big boys have moved east as we get ever so close to the season's first major championship in early April. The Honda Classic features one of the tour's most difficult courses in PGA National. PGA National has hosted multiple Ryder Cup matches and was a regular stop on the Senior Tour / Champions Tour and this week is challenging the world's top players.

Adam Frillman joined Dustin Ashby in studio for this week's show and welcomed a great slate of guests for the best two hours of golf talk radio available in the market. Dustin teed it up at Glen Echo on Friday with the University of Missouri-St. Louis golf team and thoroughly enjoyed the chance to put the ball in the air on one of St. Louis' most historic layouts. Adam and Dustin ran down the leaderboard through 36 holes at the Honda Classic and touched on a few of the interesting storylines coming from this week's tour event. Opening Segment - Audio

Seven time Metropolitan Amateur Player of the Year, Skip Berkmeyer, joined the discussion and talked about the challenges of playing on greens / turf that you aren't accustomed too. The guys previewed Skip's tournament schedule for 2009, which will again include trips to the Coleman, Porter Cup and Crump Cup. Skip then introduced an event that is returning on March 22-23 featuring top players from the Gateway PGA and Metropolitan Amateur Golf Association. Skip, along with Ryan Roy, collaborated with their respective Associations to resurrect the Ryder Cup style matches. The event will be held at Norwood Hills Country Club on the East Course. Skip Berkmeyer on the Pros vs. Amateurs - Audio

The guys checked in with their "Man on the Ground" at the Honda Classic, Tom Frillman. Yep, that's right, the guys are leveraging Adam's old man for a little inside information on the happenings at PGA National. Tom followed Jay Williamson for much of his round on Friday and gave a blow by blow of Jay's play through the emphasis Bear Trap. Tom was very impressed with the play of Rory McIlroy.  Tom Frillman, Special Correspondent from the Honda Classic - Audio

The Bogeyman, Dan O'Neill, made his weekly appearance for the "On the Clock" segment sponsored by the Missouri Golf Association (
www.mogolf.org). Bogeyman offered his take on Rory McIlroy, whether the big boys on the PGA Tour really enjoyed difficult tracks like PGA National and the "Haney Project" on The Golf Channel.  The Bogey Man is 'On the Clock'

The amateurs had their time with Berkmeyer joining the show so equal billing needed to be provided to the Professionals. Ryan Roy of Norwood Hills Country Club joined the show to break down the upcoming matches between the top professionals and top amateurs.  Ryan Roy of Norwood Hills discusses the area Pros vs. Amateurs

Dustin ranted a bit about the recent news of Northern Trust getting ridiculed for the manner in which they staged the recent Northern Trust Open at Riveria. Dustin cried out for Tim Finchem and Carolyn Bivens to step up and stick up for the PGA Tour and LPGA Tour as viable sponsorship vehicles.

The guys wrapped up the show with an interview with Brian Hurlbert of Golf Las Vegas Now (
www.golflasvegasnow.com). It's almost time for March Madness and there isn't a better place to take in the basketball action while enjoying some of the countries top golf courses than Las Vegas in late March.  Brian Hurlbert of Golf Las Vegas Now
