Even playing at St. Joseph Country Club couldn't help a local golfer with the Missouri Amateur Championship.

June 27, 2009 - St. Joseph Country Club - If it feels like we've been here before, it's because we have been. For the first time in Missouri Amateur Championship history, the same two individuals will be competing in the Missouri Amateur Final in back to back years. Skip Berkmeyer vs. Justin Bardgett II is officially on the tee sheet.

Scott Hovis joined The Back Nine Radio show on Saturday morning to discuss this week's Missouri Amateur Championship. As play was beginning for the Quarterfinal matches, Hovis previewed the day ahead with Dustin Ashby and Adam Frillman on 101.1 ESPN in St. Louis.

June 27, 2009 - St. Joseph, MO - At the end of the day at St. Joseph Country Club, there will be only two players remaining. What started out as several hundred golfers attempting to qualify for the 2009 Missouri Amateur Championship is down to four and as of Saturday evening we'll have the final matchup in place.

June 26 - St. Joseph, MO - Anyone who tees it up in a Missouri Amateur Championship understands what it means to still be playing on Saturday morning. The week starts with a full field of contestants, quickly trimmed to 64 as of Thursday morning. But with 64 players and their families in attendance, there is still enough going on and enough people around to keep the activity around the course high.
