Veteran PGA Tour players Jay Delsing and Jay Williamson will be among more than 160 golfers seeking to secure a spot on the 2009 PGA Tour. The top 25 finishers this week at PGA West will receive status on the PGA Tour throughout 2009.

November 13, Old Warson CC - Skip Berkmeyer headed the list of honorees at the 2008 MAGA Player of the Year Banquet, Thursday evening, November 13, at Old Warson Country Club. Berkmeyer earned the Player of the Year award for the third straight year (and seven times overall) on the strength of his play locally, regionally and nationally. Other award-winners included: Scott Thomas (Senior Player of the Year), Chelsea Schriewer, right, (Women's Player of the Year) and Barbara Berkmeyer (Senior Women's Player of the Year). The MAGA also recognized Bellerive as winners of the 2008 Metropolitan Cup.

St. Louisan Jay Delsing fired a three-under 69 in third round action Friday at the PGA Tour Q School Stage 2 qualifying at Callaway Gardens' Mountain View Course in Pine Mountain, Ga. The round gave Delsing a three-round total of 8-under 208, good for a tie for 18th.

A team of juniors from the Kansas City Golf Association won three of four matches from the Metropolitan Amateur Golf Association Junior team Sunday to win the 10th Mid-America Junior Cup matches at Glen Echo Country Club.
