Parkway South Graduate, Kyle Weldon, is off to a great start as a Freshmen at Kansas State University.
Weldon
competed in each of Kansas State's fall tournaments and posted the
teams low stroke average at 73.53 per round. In just his second
collegiate tournament, Weldon finished in 5th place with rounds of 69-74
(-1). Most impressively as a Freshmen, Weldon's scores were counted 12
out of 14 rounds played.
At Parkway South, Weldon
competed in the shadows of recent graduate Scott Langley, who just
completed his collegiate career at the University of Illinois and is now
competing professionally. Weldon was named to the all state team in
2009-2011, finishing in the top four individually in the Missouri Class
4A State Championship in 2009, 2010 and 2011.
