Winning breeds winning.  Such could be the case for Andy Frost, the 2012 Normandie Amateur Champion, who fired the low round of the day at Old Hickory Golf Club in the 93rd Greisedieck Men's Championship.

Frost has had his share of close calls in the District Championship.  Not until he broke through earlier this year winning the Normandie Amateur had Frost gotten into the winners circle of a major amateur tournament.  On Saturday morning the 4th seed, Frost, will face Teddy Jones in the first round of match play.

Steven Souchek shared the first round lead with 1998 Men's District Champion, Ken Highlander after a first round 67.  After a second round 71, Souchek claimed the top spot all to his own.  The top seed will face Jeff Johnson in his first match on Saturday morning.

Despite shooting 10 shots worse in the second round, Ken Highlander qualified as the 5 seed and will face fellow Sunset Hills Country Club Member, Justin Beaston.

Last year's champion at WingHaven Country Club, Alex Cusumano qualified as the 7 seed and will square off against Missouri High School Standout, Michael Wootten.  Wootten's struggled at times competing in Men's amateur tournaments, but so far this week he's been able to handle the conditions, evident by his second round 70 to earn the 10 seed.

Joe Migdal lost in the semi-finals last year to Ted Moloney.  Moloney barely missed the field of 16 to qualify for match play, but Migdal will play the weekend for the second consecutive year.  Migdal will face the 2 seed, Mike Whitaker in the first round.

Other first round matches feature Bryan Bohme (8) vs. Garrett Sneed (9), Rick Weber (3) vs. Chad Niezing (14) and Nick Arman (6) vs. Michael Kendrick (11).

The first tee time is 7am on Saturday morning with the Quarter-Final matches commencing 30 to 45 minutes after the first round is completed.
