An interesting Week 6 in the NFL awaits and it's time for The Back Nine to provide a return to winning with our NFL Predictions.
St. Louis +14.5 at Green Bay
The Rams are looking for their first win of the season against the reigning Super Bowl Champions who look almost unbeatable. This game is being played in Lambeau and the 14.5 points aren't enough. Prediction - Green Bay
Jacksonville +12.5 at Pittsburgh
A rookie quarterback against a Steelers defense - we'll side with the Steelers defense even if they are getting older. Prediction - Pittsburgh
Philadelphia -1.5 at Washington
The Eagles are as desperate as any team in the NFL and will get a win against the Redskins this week. Prediction - Philadelphia
San Francisco +4 at Detroit
Can you believe the Lions are still unbeaten? Can you believe we're potentially looking at a match up between the Lions and Packers on Thanksgiving with both teams being undefeated? Wow. However, if the Lions are to realize that Thanksgiving Day match up of unbeaten teams they will have to survive the Harbaugh rebirth of the 49ers. We see this as a field goal type game and will take the road dog. Prediction - 49ers
Carolina +3.5 at Atlanta
The Cam Newton led Panthers are 4-1 ATS this year and the Falcons are only 1-4 ATS, however the Falcons are going to be looking to rebound from a home loss to the Packers last week. The Panthers kept another game close, however couldn't pull it out against a good New Orleans team in their 30-27 loss at home in week 5. Look for a ground and pound kind of game from the Falcons as they win this by at least a touchdown. We really like this one. Prediction - Atlanta
Indianapolis +6.5 at Cincinnati
This is a pretty good number as the 3-2 Bengals welcome the 0-5 Colts. Indy couldn't handle the Chiefs at home last week and now are up against a good defense in the Bengals. Cincinnati will be looking for their 3rd consecutive win this week and should be able to cover the number. Prediction - Bengals
Buffalo +3 at NY Giants
The Giants couldn't hold serve against the Seahawks, a traditionally horrible traveling team, especially when traveling completely across the country. The Giants had their chance late in the game, but an unfortunate tipped ball led to a pick 6 and a Seahawks upset over the Giants. The Giants are struggling to run the ball and will be without Brandon Jacobs this week. Believe it or not, we're actually looking for a good game from Eli this week as the Giants need this one a little more than the Bills. This could easily end in a push, but we'll take the G-Men to cover. Prediction - Giants
Houston +7 at Baltimore
Andre Johnson is out again this week, the Ravens are coming off a Bye week and will make this a one dimensional game stopping Arian Foster and the Houston running game. Baltimore likely wins this game by double figures. Prediction - Ravens
Cleveland +7 at Oakland
The Raiders are coming off an emotional win last week in Houston after learning of owner Al Davis' passing on Saturday morning. The Raiders have played a difficult schedule, beating the Broncos and Texans on the road and NY Jets at home. Their two losses come against Buffalo on the road and New England at home. The Browns on the other hand have played the Bengals, Colts, Dolphins and Titans and are coming off their Bye week at 2-2. The Browns defense has been respectable, but the Raiders are so good on the ground we look for the Raiders to control the ball and ultimately win a close one. We'll take the points, but expect a Raiders victory - Prediction - Browns
Dallas +6 at New England
Interesting match up, very interesting match up here at Foxboro. Romo and his Cowboys are coming off a much needed bye week and will have a healthy Miles Austin back in the lineup. The over / under in this game is 55.5 and that still might not be enough. That being said, games like this can sometimes surprise you and turn into a grind it out, turnover driven game. It is the NFL you know. Everything points towards the Patriots here at home, but is it time for the Cowboys to surprise us and for Romo to again redeem himself? We'll say no and stick with the chalk in this one. Prediction - Patriots
New Orleans -6 at Tampa Bay
Another premium match up in Tampa. If the Bucs are going to be for real, they need to win games like this, yet we just don't think the Bucs are ready to over take the Saints. That being said, the Bucs aren't as bad as their 48-3 trashing received at the hands of the 49ers last week and the Saints are playing their third consecutive road game. Prediction - Tampa Bay
Minnesota +3 at Chicago
The Vikings finally held on to a lead last week and notched one in the win column. Only two teams have rushed for over 100 yards against the Vikings this year and when they did, it was by a narrow margin (105 and 103 yards for KC and Tampa Bay). The Bears on the other hand have given up 181, 169 on the ground the last two weeks against the Panthers and Lions. The Bears are only 1-4 ATS this year. This may be a bit of a surprise, but we like the Vikings to cover the 3 points on the road. Prediction - Vikings
Miami +7 at NY Jets
The Dolphins are definitely in the Andrew Luck sweepstakes and this week won't do anything to take them out of the running. Look for a double digit victory for the Jets on Monday Night. Prediction - NY Jets
