Can you believe we actually had rain falling during The Back Nine Radio Show this morning? I can honestly say I don't remember the last time we watched rain fall as we were hosting the show. Finally!
While it was cooling off a bit in St. Louis, the action was still hot in Ohio where 350 yard tee shots were amazingly the norm. Fast and firm surfaces greeted the players at Firestone where the top players in the world were competing in this week's World Golf Championship Event. Jim Furyk was in the lead after 36 holes and needs a solid finish to work his way into the top of the Ryder Cup Standings. The top eight will earn a spot automatically on the US Team that will be competing in September at Medinah Country Club.
