In honor of that 20th anniversary, founding members Mike Corry, Stan Grossman, Jim Holtgrieve and Tom O'Toole, Jr. will be honorary starters prior to Round 1 of the 21st Metropolitan Amateur Championship on Thursday, August 11th at St. Louis Country Club.

The first course we played in Hot Springs Village was Ponce De Leon. From the moment you arrive you can tell they are all about the golf. And don't let the yardage fool you, there is plenty of bite in this golf course with a Course Rating / Slope of 72.1 / 132 from the Blue Tees at just 6,400 yards.

Every year, I look for a spot to take a group of guys for a long weekend getaway that focuses first and foremost on golf. For the past 8 years we have stayed in the Midwest and 2011 was no exception.
