The William Woods University men's golf team claimed top honors at the Missouri Intercollegiate Tournament Wednesday afternoon. It is the first time in the history of the men's golf program that they have won the Missouri Intercollegiate. It is the second consecutive tournament victory for the Owls. They opened the season with a win at the Show-Me Summer Shoot-Out in Fulton, Mo., on August 30.

Cold, rainy weather drove up scores at the 2011 Turning Stone Tiger Intercollegiate on Monday, but Mizzou Golf standout Jace Long remained steady, shooting an even-par 72 to help the Tigers to a third place finish in Verona, N.Y.

Although a final decision doesn't seem imminent, last week's season-ending meeting of the PGA Tour's Player Advisory Council was a step forward for a proposal that would dramatically change the way players earn Tour cards.
