Congratulations Brian on your victory.

Highlight for us the holes you won. Did you win them with birdie, par, etc?

Most of the holes that I won I won with pars. I won 17 with a birdie to close out the match though.

Brian -

You've been in two very tight matches. Do you feel this gives you an advantage over players who haven't experienced as much pressure so far this week?

In a way you can say that it does since I have seen the holes and have played them more but with how good this field is I don't think that it will matter a whole lot.

Tell us about yourself.

Where is Golden City, MO for those that aren't familiar?

Are you in school, out of school?

It seems as though a lot of holes are being won or lost on the par 3's and that was the case in your match this morning with Blake.

What makes the par 3's so difficult and are you surprised we're seeing so many matches won or lost on the par 3's?

Golden City is north of Joplin by about 40 minutes. It is a very small farm community. There is only about 900 people living in town. I am getting ready to be a senior at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. When I am not playing or practicing my golf I am helping out my dad on our family farm. While I'm here right now he is planting beens. If I win this tourney it would be a nice early happy birthday gift since I will be turning 23 just a few days afterwards.

What's the deepest you've advanced in this championship before?

What experience, in general, do you have with Match Play?

What makes the par 3's out here so hard is judging the wind correctly and just hitting a good shot. If you get on the wrong side of the hole your looking at a tough 2 putt.

This is only my second year playing in this tourney. Last year I made it to the round of 8 but ended up getting beat my Skip Berkmeyer. So if I win my match this afternoon I will find myself in a familiar situation. I don't have a whole lot of experience with match play just because theres not a whole lot of them around to play in. Most of the tourneys I play in are stroke.

Right now I am just striking the ball really well. My tee shots and iron play is doing really well. My putting is the only thing that is giving me problems.
